Pentagon Clears Tomahawk Missile Transfer to Ukraine, Leaving Final Approval in Trump’s Hands
Washington, D.C., USA — The Pentagon has formally cleared the potential transfer of long-range Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine, marking one of the most significant U.S. military support steps considered since the beginning of the Russia–Ukraine war. However, the final approval now rests entirely with President Donald Trump, whose administration continues to weigh political, military, and diplomatic consequences.
Pentagon Concludes Transfer Is Feasible
According to U.S. defense officials, the Department of Defense has completed a months-long assessment confirming that sending Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine would not harm U.S. military readiness. Stockpile levels, production capacity, and strategic requirements were evaluated before giving the green light.
Officials say the transfer is now “ready for presidential approval,” pending a final order from the White House.
